How to Fly

There are 3 airports in the island of Cyprus:

Laranca (LCA), Republic of Cyprus (ROC)

Paphos (PFO), Republic of Cyprus (ROC)

Nicosia-Ercan (ECN), Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC)

The airport of Larnaca (LCA) is the main airport of the ROC. Most of the international carriers have their scheduled flights from Europe and the Middle East to LCA airport. Transfer time from LCA airport to Nicosia are about 45 minutes, plus waiting time at the checkpoints when crossing by car.

The airport of Paphos (PFO) is mostly served by charter flights in high season, the transfer time to Nicosia is around 1 hour and 45 minutes.

The airport of Nicosia-Ercan (ECN) is the airport of the TRNC. The flights are operated by Turkish Airlines or Pegasus Airlines with an obligatory stopover in Turkey. Transfer time from ECN to Nicosia is around 20 minutes.

For all our programs we offer pick-up and drop-off service for LCA and ECN included in the package price, for PFO there is an extra fee because of the distance. Usually our drivers/guides are awaiting you at the exit with a sign with your name and our travel agency’s logo.

Entry Requirements

There are several different rules for entering the two distinct parts of Cyprus for holders of different passports and ID-cards (2022):

European Union Citizens

European Union citizens have no restrictions in terms of entering and moving between the two distinct parts of Cyprus. Citizens of Switzerland and some other countries enjoy the same freedom of traveling

Third country passport holders

Turkish citizens are restricted from entering the ROC, unless they have a visa and enter via LCA airport. It is possible to enter Cyprus with a valid Schengen Visa (category C, double or multiple entries). This type of visa is regarded as identical to a national entry visa. It allows transit or entry and stay for up to 90 days in a 180 day period.

Clients are recommended to check with their embassies before travelling to make sure they comply with all visa conditions.
